Farmer's Porch Gift Shop
In 2002 I left Cape Cod and moved into an historic country farmhouse in Leeds, Maine. My good friend
Fran from the Cape knew I wanted to open a Country Style B&B
& Gift Shop. When Fran visited me she
knew instantly I had the perfect place and the
perfect name,The Farmer's Porch. The old summer kitchen
was restored, decorated and filled with great country items.
By
Spring of 2004 the first half of my dream was realized and I opened the
doors to the The Farmer's Porch Country Gift Shop.
The Farmer's Porch Bed & Breakfast The next goal was to
convert the historic farmhouse into an exceptional bed &
breakfast. I wanted the outdoor living area as well as every room to be warm and inviting for
my guests
and after renovating and decorating the house and grounds
were ready.
This charming antique colonial home features
3 guest bedrooms, 2 baths, renovated country kitchen with
all new stainless appliances,
a dining room with original wainscoting and living room with
pumpkin pine floors and working fireplace. The
outdoor living area is just as appealing featuring a
large rear deck, hot tub, swimming pool and 3 acre yard with
spectacular mountain views.
The Farmer's Porch Bed & Breakfast is finally open and my
goal now is to offer the best "home away from home"
possible for every guest.
